This release brings together "Dark Recollections" (1990) by Sweden's CARNAGE and "Hallucinating Anxiety" (1990) by Norway's CADAVER, recreating the historic shared release that united two of the most influential albums of the early Scandinavian Death Metal scene.
On one side, CARNAGE, led by Michael Amott (later of CARCASS, ARCH ENEMY and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), helped establish the foundations of the Swedish Death Metal sound through memorable riffs and morbid atmospheres. On the other, CADAVER delivered a far more twisted, technical and experimental approach, becoming one of the most unique bands to emerge from Norway before the Black Metal explosion. An essential release for understanding the origins of Scandinavian Death Metal.
