The band was formed in mid 2006 under the name MERCILLESS by friends crazy for Thrash Metal at its very essence! Formed by Thiago (guitars and vocals) William (drums), Rafael (bass) and Ramon (guitars) the purpose has always been playing fast and aggressive thrash metal influences of the 80s bands like Kreator, Slayer, Dark Angel, Vio-lence, Sacrifice and others.
In 2007 the band prepares to record its first demo "Possessed by Thrash" containing 4 sounds of pure Thrash/ Speed won rave reviews from the specialized media. After the release the band undergoes its first change, with the departure of Rafael (bass) happens the entry of Junior and bringing more weight to energy band.
2008 begins with plenty of shows for different parts of Brazil getting a good critique of the public. During this period the band began to reap great reviews of their demo through Magazines, zines, web zines and sites in Brazil and internationally. And through these contacts the band received the proposal from the Spanish label Xtreem Music for the release of their first full-length, a proposal that left the band very surprised thereby giving more power to compose new songs.
In 2009 the band changed its name to MERCILLESS to DEATHRAISER for reasons already own and the existence of several bands with the name MERCILESS with the name change the band also demonstrates a new sound, with more speed and aggressiveness without escape of its purpose is to play fast and aggressive Thrash Metal!
Starting beginning the process of recording the first album titled "Violent Aggression" this album recorded in Sao Paulo in 2010 at the renowned studio DaTribo with the experienced producer Ciero (Krisiun, Claustrophobia, Mystic, Andralls) containing 9 sounds of pure aggressive Thrash Metal and the artwork was made by Andrei Bousikov (Municipal Waste, Violator). At present the band prepares to launch the full length and waiting to get the violent aggression on the stages of Brazil and the World.
