CENDRA was formed in 2009 in Sabadell (Spain) by Joey (drums/vocals) and Aggressor (guitars back then). The intention was creating a band to shit on everything, a very Punk influenced Black Metal inspired in bands like Mayhem, The Exploited, G.B.H, Venom, Hellhammer, Bathory...
The band started without having a clue of how to play, so it wasn’t until 2012 when the first official demo “Rock'n'Raw” was released and although it was quite primitive and minimalistic, it was well received and released on cassette by French label Ortsid Latem. The same year, CENDRA released “Intolerant”, which was an answer to the negative criticisms received on their 1st demo, leaving very clear that they cared a shit about them and their intentions to see the band disbanded. This one was released by Raw War Tapes, a sublabel of Trabuc Records and a polish label as well. Most of reviews were very positive from the beginning, and although one could see there was still a long way to start doing decent things, at least you could appreciate the intentions and attitude!
“Sang, Suor I Alcohol” was the first full length album, recorded, like everything before, with a fucking hand recorded in the middle of the rehearsal room, without any kind of retouches. Some were surprised to hear a CD with such a bad quality, but the band liked it and didn’t have any money to enter a recording studio. This album was released in Perú by GOH Prod. on CD and in Chile on cassette format.
“L'extermini Dels Humans” was the first EP, with a more decent sound, achieved with a pretty good Home Studio. After various attempts and doubts from some labels, this stuff wasn’t finally released. Some label asked for patience and time, but the band couldn’t stop! They had more stuff to spit!
In 2014 they released a compilation with songs from all their previous works and in that moment Malparit joined the band as a bass player. The record was registered at the same place as the EP.
When they started to write the new album, a relevant change happened in the line-up, Malparit switched to guitar, Aggressor switched to bass and Joey continues, as always being drummer and singer. When all this was working, the band signed a deal with Xtreem Music in autumn 2014 to release the band’s two upcoming albums, the first one being “666 Bastards” (recorded at Moontower Studios) that was released in January 1st, 2015.
