Legendary Spanish Death Metal band AVULSED,
have just revealed details of what will be their
8th full length album to be entitled "Phoenix
Cryptobiosis" which will see the
light next March 4th through Xtreem Music
on CD, 12"LP, Cassette & Digital formats.

AVULSED, formed
in 1991 by their vocalist Dave Rotten,
runs for almost 34 years of uninterrupted devotion
to Death Metal, and although they recently underwent
a drastic line-up change,, where only Dave
Rotten and drummer Santiago Arroyo "GoG"
decided to continue with the band and immediately
recovered with the incorporation of new members
such as: Alejandro Lobo (guitar), Alex
Nihil (bass) and Victor Dws (guitar),
completing the composition and recording process
of the new album and continuing without rest,
their live activity.
"Phoenix
Cryptobiosis" is AVULSED's
8th studio album, the first with new songs after
12 years since "Ritual Zombi"
and will be a step forward in the band's style
and sound, maintaining all the characteristics,
but with a notable qualitative progress in all
aspects. While some songs were written by some
of the former members, the majority have been
composed by the current line-up and will undoubtedly
add a touch of freshness to the band's sound.

this new work a lot!!
The recording of
"Phoenix Cryptobiosis"
took place between the months of September and
October in different studios, being mixed at the
beginning of November at the Acórdica
Studios, owned by guitarist Alejandro Lobo,
and then being mastered at the MK2 Studio
(Ivrea/Italy) by Davide Billia, drummer
for bands like Beheaded, Antropofagus, ex-Hour
of Penance, ex-Putridity, ex-Septycal Gorge...
and all this has really achieved the best sound
of the band in their entire career. The art of
the cover has been done, once again, by the infallible
Ukrainian artist Daemorph Art, who
has perfectly captured the concept of the resurgence
of AVULSED!!
According to Dave
Rotten: "The title of the album, although
it had already been half decided for many years
with the word "Cryptobiosis", has been
somewhat prophetic, since cryptobiosis is a state
that consists of the suspension of the metabolic
processes, in which some living beings enter when
environmental conditions become extreme. Avulsed
has remained in a state of cryptobiosis for many
years and it is now that the ideal conditions
have been met for it to re-emerge, as a phoenix,
of the beast unleashed in all its splendor, fury
and power".

sin descanso, su actividad en directo.
"Phoenix
Cryptobiosis" es el 8º álbum
en estudio de AVULSED, el primero con temas
nuevos tras 12 años desde
aquel "Ritual Zombi" y supondrá
un paso hacia adelante en el estilo y sonido de
la banda, manteniendo todas las características,
pero con un avance cualitativo notorio en todos
los aspectos. Si bien algunos temas fueron compuestos
por algunos de los antiguos miembros, la mayoría
han sido compuestos por la actual formación
y sin duda añadirá un toque de frescura
al sonido de la banda. A buen seguro, todo fan
de AVULSED disfrutará, y mucho,
de este nuevo trabajo!!
La grabación
de "Phoenix Cryptobiosis"
tuvo lugar entre los meses de Septiembre y Octubre
en diferentes estudios, siendo mezclado a principios
de Noviembre en los Acórdica Studios,
propiedad del guitarrista Alejandro Lobo,
para luego ser masterizado en los MK2 Studio
(Ivrea/Italia) por Davide Billia, batería
de bandas como Beheaded, Antropofagus, ex-Hour
of Penance, ex-Putridity, ex-Septycal Gorge...
y realmente se ha conseguido el mejor sonido de
la banda en toda su carrera. El arte de la portada
ha corrido a cargo, una vez más del infalible
artista ucraniano Daemorph Art, quien ha
plasmado a la perfección el concepto del
resurgir de AVULSED!!
Según comenta
Dave Rotten: "El título
del álbum, si bien estaba ya medio decidido
desde hacía muchos años con la palabra
"Cryptobiosis", ha sido un tanto profético,
ya que la criptobiosis es un estado que consiste
en la suspensión de los procesos metabólicos,
en la que algunos seres vivos entran cuando las
condiciones ambientales llegan a ser extremas.
Avulsed ha permanecido en un estado de criptobiosis
durante muchos años y es ahora cuando se
han dado las condiciones idóneas para el
resurgir, como un ave fénix, de la bestia
desencadenada en todo su esplendor, furia y potencia".
