GRISLY is the natural continuation as of Dennis Blomberg leaving PAGANIZER in 2014. Rogga Johansson and Dennis still wanted to keep playing, and teamed up with local drummer Henke Lundgren to keep the rotten flame of Death Metal burning.
In spring 2018, the band signed to Xtreem Music for their debut album “The Spectral Wars” whose cover art was painted by the famous Juanjo Castellano. The album will be released on 12th of September of the same year.
Instead of simply turning towards regular Swedeath, there’s more of a rotten vibe inside the groove and melodies of this Death Metal beast. Dirt collected from bands like Autopsy, Asphyx and Benediction but still as it’s a Swedeath collective, so the melodies are intact indeed.
