GROND shown first signs of life in 2002 in basements of dark and cold Moscow (Russia) owing to its Founding Fathers and driving force, Kist (drums/vocals) and Dust (guitars). In 2005 the band blown up the crowd first time during its first gig. Same year the first demo was released.
Later, though regular gigs were played and several line-up changes done, band released "Steel Coffins" EP in 2010 on Atomic Carnage Rec. and then, 3 years later, in 2013, the album "Howling From the Deep" saw the light of day through Assault Records.
By that time Daemorph (bass) joined GROND and took control over artworks and design. Since that moment the band started to sink in the depth of sea deeper and deeper discovering mysteries of the maritime Gods.
Second guitarist Raze joined the band just before the recording of "Cosmic Devonian" EP released in 2015 through Grotesque Sounds Prod. and with the blessing of mighty Dagon GROND created its second album "Worship the Kraken"; 9 hymns for the Gods of the sea, warriors and victims of the mighty ocean, plus a cover of the US monsters GOATLORD, released in July 2016 through Xtreem Music.
GROND's music is an old-school Death Metal, originated in the beginning of 90’s, rusty and overgrown with algae and shellfishes.
