Began in 1988 under names as Suffocation and Epidemic but settled for Wortox. Did a demotape called "The Unknown" in 1989. Later changed name to Altar and released some demos and a split-cd in 1992 released by the Spanish label Drowned Productions. In 1995, Altar was put to rest to never return to the Swedish Death Metal Underground...
