ULULATE was founded in 2001, because of creative differences, Yue Lin (aka Spectre) had to withdraw from the former band, then began a one-man project called ULULATE. In 2002 the band released its first album “We Are Going to Eat You” followed by an EP “Ya Zi” in 2002, both through Chinese label Dying Art Prod. His rough harsh sound caused some concern in China.
Then Yue had to stop working because health problems until 2006 whern ULULATE participated in the “A Tribute to Burzum: Triumph und Wille” on 29A Records from Russia and a 3-way split CD entitled “348? - Black Metal is Plague” with 2 other chinese bands Heartless and Martyrdom.
After this, ULULATE then played many gigs with Martyrdom, Evilthorn, The Illusion of Dawn… until in 2008 Yue got tired of Black Metal style and decided to move into Death Metal sounds, refusing to play live and began writing a new album during 2013/2014 under the title of “Back to Cannibal World”. After the completion of this work, Yue got in touch with Xtreem Music who signed the band and released this album in February 2015.
