Debut mini CD by this spanish band featuring members from ONIROPHAGUS, FAMISHGOD & ELDERDAWN, that plays a dark, heavy and brutal Death Metal taking influences from the finnish scene (ADRAMELECH, CARTILAGE, DEMIGOD, DEMILICH...) as well as other varied inspirations like ANASARCA, INTESTINE BAALISM, AVULSED, GRAVE...
This is an excellent piece of death metal forged in obscured atmospheres, venomous guitar riffs and monstrous gutturals. Formed in 2015, this Spanish entity reunites musicians from different bands like Onirophagus, Elderdawn, and the super project FamishGod.
All tracks are composed around superlative structures, with dense guitar lines and heavy touches of doomed metal. I liked because the band included some atmospheric keyboards in specific points, and gives a really good personality to the whole concept. This band has very low tuned guitars, and they know how to deliver sinister melodies with good taste and knowledge of death metal genre. Also, you will find parts deeply rooted in 90’s old bands. This EP production has everything to become a favorite representative of a new wave in Spain. In 6 tracks this band defines what rottenness and morbidity in music means to be, since actual worldwide “scene” is infested by copycats. It’s highly recommended for those who are looking for deadly bands that make authentic music of death.
BIZARRE se ideó a través de la distancia, pero no ha impedido que los kilómetros que separan Extremadura, Madrid y Barcelona sean impedimento para que cuatro músicos no solo editen este EP “Inner Necropolis”, sino que además a finales de año ya tienen sus primeros conciertos preparados, incluido uno con AVULSED y APOSENTO en Madrid, organizado para finales de este 2016, donde se grabará un DVD para editarlo posteriormente.
Los músicos de BIZARRE son Funedëim (FAMISHGOD, SVIPDAGR, MORKULV, ITNUVETH o el dúo DIS GOB), Evilead (ELDERDAWN o NANGILIMA), Obszen (KUROI ONI) y Uretra (ONIROPHAGUS). Entre ellos cuatro dan forma a estos seis temas en veintiún minutos y donde la idea es recuperar el sonido del Death Metal más pesado y profundo a lo ADRAMELECH, DEMILICH o DEMIGOD. Escuela finlandesa para más señas.
Una escuela finlandesa que comienza con la pequeña intro de “Dying Existence” y ya en “Damp Earth” nos entrega una composición cargada y pesada, pero también con solistas melódicas y ligeros apoyos de teclado que engrandecen la composición y le dan más variedad.
En “Asphyxiating Dark Memories” el contraste de dos voces está muy logrado, una con un tono más gutural y otra algo más blacker, tema en el que han contado con Mike Dormann de los alemanes ANASARCA como único invitado de todo el lanzamiento. Tema con ritmos interesantes y para escuchar con atención. Las solistas también destacan en “Moldy and Decomposed”. Y los ritmos asfixiantes y marcados, típicos del género, están presentes en “Fleshless”, composición lenta donde se arrastran los acordes y finalizando tienes melodías interesantes en la propia “Inner Necropolis”.
Aunque “Inner Necropolis” se grabó en diferentes estudios, las baterías, ese pilar tan fundamental, se grabaron íntegramente en los Moontower Studios de Barcelona, conocidos por trabajar con bandas como NAKKIGA, CUERNO, MEMEST, CRIXIS o los citados AVULSED, y en los que finalmente se mezcló el álbum para darle la consistencia final de la que sí goza.
Como además hace muy poco que a BIZARRE les entrevistamos en esta web, aún puedes leerla y curiosear un poco más en este “Inner Necropolis”. Si ya has escuchado grupos como los anteriormente citados u otros como ABHORRENCE, FUNEBRE o PUTERNANCE este MCD seguro que te gustará, si no es así, tienes un notable trabajo por el que comenzar a investigar ese tipo de sonido.
