Yes, AVULSED is finally playing in Colombia, perhaps the country in the whole South America where the band has a stronger fan base. Thanx to Alex Okendo from the mighty MASACRE and also MORBID MACABRE, the band was selected to headline this year's edition of the ALTAVOZ Festival in Medellin on Sunday 16th of October together with bands like MORBID MACABRE, VITAM ET MORTEM, ETERNAL and WITCHTRAP. Also, the day before, on the 15th, AVULSED has been invited by Daniel from the legendary colombian act PURULENT, to headline the 10th anniversary of BOGOTA Deathfest alongside with SUPPURATION, VEHEMENTER, CARNAL BLASPHEMY, INBREEDING SICK, HOLY SHIT B.S.E. and ATHANASE GENOCIDE. Both shows are going to be something really brutal and memorable!!
But a week before that, AVULSED is playing in one of Germany's best uprising festivals like it is WAY OF DARKNESS. Check poster here
And most probably this will be all regarding shows for this year, but in 2012, during the first months there will be a bunch of shows around Spain, still to be confirmed, in places like Granada, Murcia, Mallorca, Asturias, Cantabria… and then the strongest ones will follow!! First another performance at Portugal's 15th anniversary of SWR Festival (www.swr-fest.com) and later on, what's perhaps the biggest festival ever to have the pleasure of counting with AVULSED on its stages: HELLFEST!! (www.hellfest.fr)
In the meantime, the band decided to cancel the release of their 20th anniversary CD "Fleshcube" mainly because there were several problems regarding the recording sessions and that delayed the whole project to the point that it was going to be impossible to release it for this year, so… who knows, perhaps for our 25th anniversary!!
However, this cancellation was taken in a positive way, because this helped the band to concentrate in the songwriting of their upcoming album "Ritual Zombi" whose recordings are planned for spring/summer 2012. Although some labels have already shown interest on signing AVULSED, the band won't take any decision about it until more offers are being received and then will carefully check one by one in order not to commit another mistake like it was done with their previous album "Nullo (The Pleasure of Self-mutilation)" which suffered of total lack of care regarding distribution & promotion from Metal Age Prod. in Europe and Ibex Moon Rec. in the US. Luckily it was released in time by Xtreem Music, which saved this magnific album. Parece mentira... cómo pasa el tiempo!! Hace ya 3 años y medio desde que AVULSED tocó en Madrid por última vez!! Fue aquel concierto con SINISTER en Marzo del 2006 y ya ha llovido desde entonces!!

Although it's been already two weeks since AVULSED returned back from their European tour, we've been just recovering and getting back on track, so now it's time to thank everybody that attended to our shows in all countries we played such as Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, Slovakia & Slovenia. The last three shows, along with the one in Brosserlach (ger) were definitely the best & craziest ones!! We really enjoyed sharing the stages with our brutal friends in EMETH and our sick brothers from GRIMNESS 69. Thanx for everything and see you soon!!
Soon we'll be back around Europe, and the first show coming up is a Festival in the very south of Belgium (Izel) in late January. Many more European shows will follow and of course we're quite busy playing all over the spanish territory, including the two upcoming shows in the canary islands!!

After having participated in the killer 2nd Death Fast Open Air in Germany and headlined the 8th Metal Mania Open Air in Slovenia together with Exodus & Impaled Nazarene, AVULSED is ready for one more festival (as headliners as well) to close the summer festivals. This one is the 6th FilthRock Festival in Germany on 20th of September.
The band has just finished the recording of a brand new track entitled "Breaking Hymens" that will be included in the upcoming 10-CD mega-compilation box-set devoted exclusively to Spanish extreme Metal bands. This compilation will include over 150 bands and will be released in November '08 through Xtreem Music. This new track is an exclusive recording for this compilation although it'll be re-recorded for their upcoming 5th album. Regarding AVULSED's new album, for the first time we can reveal the title and album cover!! It's gonna be called "Nullo (The Pleasure of Self-mutilation)" and the artwork is one of the most bizarre, disturbing and even blaspheme covers the band ever got!! The responsible for this gory piece of art is the american artist Mike Hrubovcak who also worked for bands like Grave, Monstrosity, Cattle Decapitation, Mortician, XXX Maniak and tons of others.
Recording sessions for the new album are starting on September 6th and will take at least 2 months to be completed, mixed and mastered, so a release date should be scheduled by the very end of '08 or early '09, again through slovak label Metal Age Prod. Some of the new song titles are the aforementioned" Breaking Hymens", "She's Hot Tonight (In My Oven)", "Chestblood"... and the style of the new compositions follow the band's trademarked style brutal and heavy yet catchy and somewhat melodic Death Metal with an even heavier sound this time. Just listen by to the new track and judge by yourself!!
Yesterday night, our drummer Ricky suffered a loss of coscience and once in the hospital he remained in the Intensive Care Unit. It seems like he suffered a small brain stroke or something like that. this is, one of the veins was broken and some blood was spilled, so he need some surgery to take that blood out.
At this point we don't know much about it, since he liked 200 km away, and this is the information provided to us by his girlfriend, but what it's sure is that we'll have to cancel the AVULSED performance at the DELIRIUM FESTIVAL that's taking place near Paris 8France) next Saturday 19th of April. Also, right now we're not sure if we'll be able to perform at the UNDERGROUND METAL FEST in Lyon (France) next saturday 26th of April as well. We still have to see how Ricky develops from this and then we'll see, although this really doesn't depend on us.
We're very sorry for not being able to perform at the DELIRIUM FESTIVAL on which AVULSED was the headliner sharing the bill with quite some cool bands like HACRIDE + NO RETURN + DEGRADEAD + EMBRYONIC CELLS + HYSTHERESY + E-VICE. We hope our fans and the organizers will understand us in this critical situation and we really hope to play at next year's edition of the festival.

AVULSED have just seen released their very first official DVD "Reanimating Russia 2007" that includes one of their two shows in Russia from the last month of May, the one in Moscow, where there's 19 songs recorded in a totally professional way with various cameras, pro-sound and many extras. This DVD means the first official DVD ever released by an spanish Death Metal band!! It's available through the band's website www.avulsed.com.
After a successful series of 7 festivals throughout Europe between April & September which included countries like Germany, England, France, Portugal, Austria, Italy & Switzerland besides two shows in Italy and the aforementioned ones in Russia, as well as various in the Spanish territory, AVULSED is now ready for what will be their first live appearances in Finland, a 3-shows mini tour in early December together with DEMIGOD & KALMAH.
In the meantime, the band is still working in the new songs that will be included in their 5th studio album that is going to be recorded during the first half of 2008 and that will be the most brutal and aggressive stuff the band has ever written, always keeping the own identity signs of AVULSED's style.

Regarding live performances, it seems like 2006 will be another busy year for AVULSED!! Next to come after the show with SINISTER are two shows in... Russia!! Yeah!! In St. Petersburgh & Moscow on the 7th & 8th of April. Playing in Russia is even more difficult than playing in Japan, we can tell you!! Later that month, one show in the south of France (Bidache) and on 28, 29 & 30th of April, the band will be playing three dates in the UK, yes again!! This time in Liverpool, London & Birmingham. In May we'll have the Neurotic Deathfest in Eindhoven (formerly Rotterdam Deathfest) as well as two festivals in Spain: 2nd Brutologos Fest (Palencia) and 4th Metal Circus Fest (Barcelona). Spanish extreme metallers AVULSED will enter the studio in late January/early February to record a mini-CD, "Reanimations", featuring two brand new tracks ("River Runs Red" and "Foetal Consolation"), a remake of one song from their 1992 debut demo ("Unconscious Pleasure") and three cover songs: W.A.S.P.'s "I Wanna Be Somebody", GOREFEST's "Mental Misery" and EXODUS' "Piranha". As a bonus, there will be eight AVULSED tracks performed and recorded by other bands: five Spanish acts — TERRORISTARS, KAOTHIC, WITCHES' SABBATH, BYLETH and ABYFSS — plus three bands from abroad: IN ELEMENT (Argentina), CARNAVAGE (Algeria) and TWISTED FATE (Australia). The CD will be released by Electric Chair Music in Spain and Xtreem Music in the rest of the world.

Yes, an European tour for AVULSED is in the works!! After 8 long years since their latest Euro-tour, AVULSED is ready to devastate the ancient continent once again!! We want to thank everybody who attended to the London Dethfest last 18th of June, it was a fucking awesome show and we must say we did our absolute record in merchandise-selling!! Now we're ready to annihilate the Obscene Extreme Festival in the Czech Republic on Saturday 9th of July!! After this we'll play another show here in Spain (Jerez) and then we won't play again until the European Tour, which by the way, will have a line-up change because Cabra can't do the tour due to his job obligations, so it'll be Alberto from KAOTHIC/ SKUNK D.F. who will take his place. He already played with AVULSED in the american tour in 2000 and did several spare shows like in the New Jersey Metal Fest, Paris (Last 19th of June) and some others. Let's say that he's the 6th AVULSED member, hehe!!!

Here are the latest happennings in the spanish Death Metal band AVULSED camp according to their official website:
"It took way longer than expected for the mixing process of "Gorespattered Suicide" album, but it's finally done!! Initially it was supposed to be done during the 2nd week of September, but no less than 5 hurricanes passed through Florida where Erik Rutan was mixing and mastering the album at his own studios. After this, he was ill for some days... but it was well worth the wait!! The master is in our hands and we must say it sounds great!! We're really satisfied of the mixing and we can state that this might be our best album to date!!
"Gorespattered Suicide" has all the usual ingredients in AVULSED's style, but it's by far the most brutal, aggressive and intense effort, to which our new drummer Riky has contributed enormously!! You can download a new song by entering our NEWS section.
As for the artwork, it's also finished and we can also say it's the most extreme artwork we've ever had for any of our albums!! Today, 30th of July, AVULSED is entering the VRS Studios in Madrid were bands like HUMAN MINCER & WORMED previously recorded their works to start the recordings of what will be the band's 4th full length album (8th CD on their career) under the title of "Gorespattered Suicide". The recording sessions will take like 10 days after which the mix and mastering will take care of Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL/ ex-MORBID ANGEL) at his own Mana Recording Studios in Florida during the first week of September.
"Gorespattered Suicide" will inlcude 11 own songs plus a cover of the song "Ace Of Spades" by MOTÖRHEAD. The song titles will be the following: "Burnt But Not Carbonized", "Gorespattered Suicide", "Eat Foetal Mush", "4 N Sick", "Filth Injected", "Protervia", "Let Me Taste Your Flesh", "Harvesting The Blood", "Infernal Haemorrhoids", "Divine Wine" and a still untitled instrumental song.
In the meantime, the cover artwork and complete CD design will be done by Sven de Caluwé from Dirged Design (www.dirged.be) better known for being ABORTED's vocalist. Such work will be, without any doubt, the most brutal, extreme and sick one ever used by the band, showing again their position of refusal to be submitted on the stablished censorship by certain distributors and CD manufacturers in Europe.
Also, Metal Age Productions, the current label of the band, has acquired the rights of the album "Yearning For The Grotesque" which will be reíssued by the end of the year. Also around the same dates, it's scheduled that the same label reíssue on a double CD the works "Seven Years Of Decay" (demos and rarities) together with "Bloodcovered" (cover songs) that will include some bonus tracks as well.
AVULSED will be playing spare shows through Spain, France & Portugal until the end of the year, but it won't be until December or January when they start the show to present their new album (scheduled for October/ November) through the whole spanish territory. There's also some negotiations with some promoters in Australia & Japan for a possible tour in both countries around April 2005, although this is on very early stages...
