The 2nd opus of spanish Funerotting Doom/Death monks of darkness FAMISHGOD is completed and ready for its release next month of December again through Xtreem Music.
Leaded by Dave Rotten (AVULSED) and Funedeim (BIZARRE), FAMISHGOD's new offering entitled "Roots of Darkness" is again a conceptual album following the story created on its predecessor from 2014, composed by 7 chapters clocking over 65 minutes and displaying that heavy, dark, rotting and gloomy sounding Doom/ Death that will for sure appeal to any fan of bands like DISEMBOWELMENT, EVOKEN, RIPPIKOULU, MYTHIC, WINTER, NECROS CHRISTOS, INCANTATION...
"Roots of Darkness" release coincides with FAMISHGOD's 2nd live appearance that will take place at the 4th edition of the MADRID IS THE DARK Festival together with bands like SAMAEL, TIAMAT, IN THE WOODS, PHLEBOTOMIZED, AHAB, SHAPE OF DESPAIR, DRACONIAN, NOVEMBRE, EREB ALTOR & HELEVORN.

The Funerotting Doom/Death band FAMISHGOD, leaded by Dave Rotten (AVULSED) and Funedeim (BIZARRE), have just revealed the cover art for their 2nd album that will be entitled "Roots of Darkness" and was painted by artist Abigor Artaburu that already worked for bands like APOSENTO and OUIJA amongst many others. The new band logo has been designed by Phlegeton (WORMED).
The album is currently being mixed by Dave Rotten at his own Sanctuary Studios and it's scheduled for an early December release, just before FAMISHGOD's live appearance at the 4th edition of the MADRID IS THE DARK Festival together with bands like SAMAEL, TIAMAT, IN THE WOODS, PHLEBOTOMIZED, AHAB, SHAPE OF DESPAIR, DRACONIAN, NOVEMBRE, EREB ALTOR & HELEVORN.
"Roots of Darkness" again will contain 7 conceptual chapters that continues the story from their previous work and musically deepens on the dense, profound and dismal sounds already explored by FAMISHGOD on their previous "Devourers of Light" from 2014, although this time with a human drummer and a better and heavier production (if that's possible), and always keeping that rotting, majestic and enigmatic essence that charactarizes them.

The always active mind of Dave Rotten (AVULSED's vocalist) has given birth to another project. This time it's an ultra dense, heavy and rotting Doom/ Death band called FAMISHGOD, created together with Funedëim (SVIPDAGR/ MORKULV) mastermind on this project, who plays guitar & bass here. FAMISHGOD is fruit of almost two years of writing and recording what's going to be their first full length album. This band has been kept secret until now, after such album has been finished and when the band is able to offer some proper-sounding stuff.
"Devourers of Light" is the title of this debut album by FAMISHGOD, a conceptual opus divided in 7 chapters with a length of almost one hour, where lyrics form a whole story separated in 7 acts. Cover artwork and 13 more pieces of art, have been created by finnish Tommi Grönqvist from DESECRESY, who's responsible of all artworks on his own band and he's created, as always, a perfect design with his eerie and personal style.
Production, mixing and mastering of the album has been made by Dave Rotten at his very own Sanctuary Studios, expressing a dark, heavy and deep sound that fits perfectly in the obscure Doom/ Death of FAMISHGOD whose influences are deeply rooted in bands like DISEMBOWELMENT, EVOKEN, MOONDARK, RIPPIKOULU, DESECRESY, OPHIS, MYTHIC, WINTER, HOODED MENACE and the likes.
Although FAMISHGOD started as a studio project, there are plans to bring the band live with a full line-up completed by session members that will help to recreate FAMISHGOD's heaviness on stage, so stay tuned for this!!
