Finland's heaviest, darkest and most eerie Death Metal band DESECRESY, is back with their 5th opus entitled "The Mortal Horizon" which is going to be out next month of August, again thorugh Xtreem Music, who released their four previous albums!
Always formed by two members, DESECRESY is now a one-man band. Tommy Grönqvist has always written all music and played all instruments and now he's taking care of vocal duties in an even more growling and guttural way. The style of DESECRESY remains as usual, a dark, purtid and hypnotizing Death Metal with doomy elements, reminiscent of bands like ABHORRENCE (fin), BOLT THROWER, ASPHYX, DERKETA, RIPPIKOULU, GRAVE, INCANTATION, ROTTREVORE...
The 5th and last finnish Death Metal release on Xtreem Music for 2015 is none other than DESECRESY's 4th album entitled "Stoic Death". Having achieved a very personal and unique style within the heaviest realms of Death Metal with slight Doomy hints, DESECRESY offers a new dose in form of an 8-song album what digs deeper into their own eerie world blending these cryptic melodies with their lo-fi rotting sound that always pleased fans of bands like ABHORRENCE, BOLT THROWER, DERKETA, INCANTATION, ROTTREVORE...
Tracklist for for "Stoic Death" is as follows:
1. Remedies of Wolf's Bane
2. The Work of Anakites
3. Passage to Terminus
4. Abolition of Mind
5. Sanguine Visions
6. Funeral Odyssey
7. Cantillate in Ages Agone
8. Unantropomorph
Finnish DESECRESY, in their crusade to offer the heaviest and most eerie Death Metal, have finished what's their 3rd opus under the title of "Chasmic Transcendence". Again, Tommi Gronqvist, mainman and responsible of recording all instruments, with the collaboration of Nurmi. T.G. who this time gives us his most rotting vocal registers, made a truly dark and gloomy Death Metal bulldozer that will please every fan of bands like ABHORRENCE, BOLT THROWER, DERKETA, INCANTATION, ROTTREVORE...
This time, "Chasmic Transcendence" offer 14 songs, shorter in length compared to the previous albums, but following the same style or perhaps even heavier and mid paced. Tracklist for the album is as follows:
01. The Ethereal Bane
02. Shattered Monuments
03. The Denied Legacy
04. The Eye of Death
05. Cyclonic Mass Consumptor

XTREEM MUSIC is more than proud to announce a new agreement with finnish Deathsters DESECRESY which have re-inked a new deal to see their next albums released on what has been their home label since their inception.
DESECRESY, whose debut album "Arches of Entropy" was released in November 2010, has been building a reputation on their own as one of the heaviest and most interesting Death Metal bands to come out from Finland in the recent years. Even though their debut album was well received, that was nothing compared to their sophomore release "The Doom Skeptron" in June 2012, which got nothing but superb reactions everywhere, being hailed as one of the best Death Metal releases of the year.
The band is currently working on their 3rd full length album, although there's no exact plans for its recording, but could be expected by the end of 2013.
Finnish
Death Doomsters DESECRESY started the recordings
of their sophomore album in late 2011 and are
currently in the final stages to complete this
magnificent opus which will be entitled "The
Doom Skeptron". Mixing is being mixed
by Jani Loikas who already worked for bands like
SLUGATHOR and DEEPRED amongst others.
In "The Doom Skeptron" you shall
witness the approaching mass of Death Metal forged
by the weight of kick drums crushingly rotating
onwards alongside with palm muted tremolo riffing
and guitar leads dwelling from chambers of distant
monoliths. All this accompanied by deep voices
from the realms underneath ours... Thematically
stroking lyrical landscape portraits of surroundings
from darkest predictions, and relating tales of
creatures beyond our mortal existence.
As we all heard on the band's debut album "Arches
of Entropy", DESECRESY values the
Finnish Death Metal tradition as a source of inspiration,
having also influence from bands like BOLT THROWER,
IMMOLATION, INCANTATION and ASPHYX.
The album will contain 8 songs with the following
titles:
1.Forged from Chaos / 2.The Sleep of Titans /
3.The Sceptre of Damnation / 4.Declined Resplendence
/ 5.Burial Adorations / 6.Vortex Unwinding / 7.Sons
of the Burning God / 8.The Solemn End
Release schedule for "The Doom Skeptron"
is planned sometime in Summer 2012 and you can

DESECRESY
7.9.2010
New finnish Death Metal band DESECRESY has inked a deal with XTREEM MUSIC for the release of their recentlyrecorded debut album "Arches of Entropy" due to come out before the end of 2010. DESECRESY was formed in 2009 by Tommi Grönqvist (all instruments) and Jarno Nurmi (vocals) both from the now extinct SLUGATHOR. The music of DESECRESY is a crushingly heavy type of Death Metal with a dark and eerie atmosphere inspired by bands like ABHORRENCE (fin), BOLT THROWER, ASPHYX, DERKETA, RIPPIKOULU, GRAVE, INCANTATION, ROTTREVORE... and in general getting inspiration from 90's Death Metal, although DESECRESY doesn't settle just to be a so called "old school" band. Their aim is to make Death Metal as it should be, not as it once was.
"Arches of Entropy" was recorded from January to August 2010 and holds such a heavy, deep and dense production that despite not being so polite as nowadays productions, this one for sure perfectly captures the darkness and heaviness of the 10 songs there included, resulting in one of Finland's heaviest albums ever.
Although there's not an exact release date, "Arches of Entropy" is planned to come out between November/ December 2010, so in the meaintime we urge you to visit their official MySpace to listen to three songs: www.myspace.com/desecresy
