NIGHT TO DIE was formed in 1994 with the breakup of the Thrash Metal band TANATORIO. At that time, the band consisted of Daniel González (guitar/lead singer), Alejandro Cuiñas (bass/vocals), and Juanma Quintero (drums). After a few months of rehearsing (1995), NIGHT TO DIE recorded its first demo titled “Who'll Never Know”, a high-quality and well-presented five-track project. The band received good reviews from magazines and radio. With this, Francisco Rey joined the group as a second guitarist.
In 1997, the band recorded a new demo at La Factoría Studios called "At Fireland Depths" consisting of in five new songs. With an excellent sound quality and a presentation just as good as the first, "At Fireland Depths" received extremely high reviews, defining their music as melodic Death Metal with traces of Spanish Flamenco influences.
In the summer of 1998, the group once again returned to the studio to record three more songs for a mini CD called "All Evil Crying" where these Spanish influences are even more evident, resulting in a contract with REPULSE RECORDS.
NIGHT TO DIE shared the stage with groups such as NIGHTFALL (Greece), JESUS MARTYR (Argentina), CRUCIBLE (Hawaii/USA), AMALTHEA, ASGAROTH, ANATOMY OF SADNESS, SORIBEN, DISEMBODIED…
More recently, after a several-year hiatus, the group has been putting together various new plans. To kick things off, NIGHT TO DIE prepared a recompilation of all of their previously recorded tracks under the title "Non Omnis Moriar", released in March 2013 through Xtreem Music.
Stay tuned as NIGHT TO DIE reveals other big surprises in the very near future…
