Located in Sevilla (south of Spain), INFESTUS was born as a band at the end of 1990, with an undetermined stylistic classification, they were going towards a dark Death Metal sound due to the poor equipment they had back then. The first compositions were compiled on a tape by the years ‘90/’91. The band debuts on a first live show with incidents amongst the crowd although the reactions seemed to be good. Again the band reaches what they wanted in musical terms, with influences from American bands without forgetting about the old continent.
A new show was played on a totally crowded club and in the year ’93 the band recorded a demo entitled “Unnatural Legacy” which was released on cassette through Drowned Productions, getting very good reviews and positive reactions from fans, leading them to play shows and festivals all around Spain. The year after (’94), a new demo was recorded under the title of “Afmósfera de Asfixia” which remained unreleased; INFESTUS broke up in ’95.
After some years, Chico and Asog created a Project called Terror H that lasted for some years meeting a few musicians from the Sevillian scene until their dissolution. Chico was recording on different solo projects, one of them being Dark Chicosis that you can listen on Youtube.
After 19 years, INFESTUS came back to the scene, with a new demo entitled “Origen” finished in 2015 which wasn’t released either, after which, the band did split-up again. In 2016, Asog, only original member left, decided to reform the band, this time with new musicians.
